ScytheKick is an unofficial companion app for Scythe, the award-winning board game from Stonemaier Games. Designed with the players in mind, ScytheKick allows you to easily configure a Scythe game, manage Automa players, and score the game seamlessly using an intuitive interface.

With ScytheKick, you have full control over your game setup. You can select the total player count, Automa count, and choose which expansions to include. Additionally, you can play a single match or join the Rise of Fenris Campaign (requires an additional in-app purchase). All these options can be easily accessed through the app's Settings sheet conveniently located in the upper left corner of the screen.

In ScytheKick, selecting player factions and mats is a breeze. You can use the Draw Button to randomly pick mats or swipe up and down to individually select mats. Moreover, you have the flexibility to enter player names for a personalized experience. The free version of the app allows two players from the base game, but additional players can be unlocked with the Premium upgrade. Furthermore, with the Invaders from Afar upgrade, you gain access to unlock additional factions.

Once the players and mats are set up, ScytheKick provides a comprehensive summary of all players, including who goes first. In addition, you can draw or pick Structure Bonus Tiles for added excitement. For those who desire more modules such as Extra Bonus Tiles, Resolution and Airship Tiles, or modules from the Rise of Fenris expansion, they can be easily unlocked via in-app purchases.

One of ScytheKick's standout features is its scoring capabilities. The app allows you to enter points per category for each player, such as popularity and stars. ScytheKick then automatically calculates the scores and presents a concise summary for all players. This summary can also be shared with other players for discussion or recording.

If you decide to play with Automa players, ScytheKick has you covered. Once the modules are selected, you can navigate to the Automa screen. This screen provides a page for each player (human and Automa), allowing you to track their progress seamlessly. The Automa player page offers features like drawing Automa turn cards and combat cards, tracking a star tracker, shuffling and flipping from Scheme I to Scheme II, and even an Automa Helper solver for simplified movement rules. On select devices, you can even view the map in augmented reality using the AR Board Upgrade. All of these controls are equipped with an Undo option for added convenience. The free version of the app provides one Automa player, but additional players can be unlocked with the Premium upgrade.

ScytheKick also offers various settings to customize your experience. You can manage in-app purchases, access an online user guide, adjust volume, disable screen locking while using Automa, choose friendliness between Automa players, enable Active Airship Variant, and select the AR Board size. Additionally, you can skip calculated scores and utilize Smooth Popularity Track mode for a more intricate scoring system.
